As well as being a fun way to pass the time, toys and games also play a vital role in our childrens’ development. Studies have shown that children use play not only to practice new skills, build confidence, and gain knowledge, but that it also helps them to process the world around them, too. It’s vital that they have access to toys that they can identify with, whether that be in terms of their heritage, their gender identity, or their physical ability. We caught up with a few of our favourite indie makers who are championing diversity within the world of toys, to chat about why inclusion is more important than ever.
